Why Organic?- What lead me to this hippy lifestyle

Most people who live 100 percent organically have some cool story about how they had some inexplicable experience in another country or something. For me, this lifestyle was basically, a happy "coincidence".

About a year ago, I was in the pit of my anxious doom. Suffering from PTSD and extreme angoraphobia and anxiety, I couldn't manage going into large grocery stores. The smallest store I could find around me was a tiny market full of Organic goods.

I hadn't any idea what Organic foods were, all I knew was that the people I saw going in and out of that store looked like they belonged in my mothers era and acted very "chill". Once I got my mum to agree to take me, I soon discovered what this Organic nonsense was. Expensive.

My mum, being the frugal woman she is, bluntly asked the worker "Why is this food so overpriced?!" He smiled and explained how the food was so healthy and didn't contain the preservatives and chemicals that regular food did. So, we purchased some of it. I excitedly tried the food at home and it was, to say the least, repulsively disgusting.

Again, my mum being who she is, forced me to eat all of the food. The next day, I had an overwhelming feeling of calmness surround me. I was actually concerned! I researched online and found out that organic food could do this to you: make you feel less anxious. I was sold.

Now, I have discovered other places to find organics that is cheaper and actually delicious. I have also since found out that I have many allergies to wheat, dairy, nuts, and basically all preservatives. I've also since lost around 80 lbs or about 5 stone.  My body FREAKS out when I don't eat this way so I am very convinced that this is what my body, and every body needs; to be completely holistic and free of things our bodies would never naturally find. This includes food and all things needed for everyday life (soaps, toothpaste, hairproducts, ect.)

Send me any questions or requests you have for new post ideas :) thanks!
